F A Q S
GENERAL
When will invitations be sent?
Invitations will be mailed in Spring 2025, and the RSVP deadline will be clearly noted on them.
Can I bring a date?
Please refer to your invitation to see who's included. Invitations are addressed specifically to the people invited, and if "and guest" is indicated, you’re welcome to bring a plus one of your choice. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help clarify!
Are kids welcome?
While we adore your little ones, our wedding weekend events will be adults-only celebrations.
Is there a gift registry?
Having you there to celebrate with us is the best gift we could ask for! For those who feel inclined, we’ll share a small registry here on the website when invitations go out in Spring 2025.
WELCOME PARTY
What should I wear to the welcome party?
The dress code for this event is smart casual - e.g. dressy casual or chic casual. Polished yet relaxed. Think elevated, stylish outfits that are comfortable enough to enjoy the evening but refined enough for this celebration. Please skip the suits, ties as well as anything overly casual, such as gym clothes or flip-flops.
Will food be available?
We'll have an open bar available for our welcome party (7:30-10 pm). We recommend grabbing dinner beforehand; there are plenty of great restaurants near the venue in Union Square, Flat Iron or the East Village.
WEDDING
What should I wear to the wedding?
Our wedding dress code is black tie optional and we kindly ask that you abide by that. Here is a great link that outlines what is acceptable to wear for our dress code. Bridesmaids will be wearing burgundy.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on concrete - no grass to worry about, ladies! The reception will take place indoors. In September, NYC weather is typically mid-70s during the day and mid-60s in the evening. Our outdoor cocktail hour will happen just as the sun is setting.
Are the ceremony & reception at the same location?
Yes, both are at 99 Scott.
Is parking available at the venue (99 Scott Studio)?
Complimentary valet will be available for those driving to 99 Scott.
Are you providing a shuttle to/from the venue?
No, we are not providing shuttle transportation to or from the venue due to the variety of hotel options and availability of transportation in NYC. The venue is a 4-block (8 minute walk) from the Jefferson St. station (L train). However, we recommend taking a taxi, Uber, or Lyft to and from the venue. Be sure to factor in traffic when planning your travel time.
